No, J-CALP does not currently offer art technique instruction due to the nature of online education, which makes it challenging to acquire precise drawing skills. Therefore, individuals who require art technique instruction will need to seek out schools or instructors on their own.
Most art-focused vocational schools and universities in Japan prioritize qualities such as sensibility, expressive ability, and the ability to accurately express themselves in the Japanese language over technical skills. On the other hand, even if you have excellent sensibility and expressive ability, if your Japanese language skills are lacking, the effectiveness of conveying your work will be significantly reduced.
In J-CALP's [Art] University Preparatory Class, we specialize in Japanese language education tailored to art, aiming to accurately express the sensibilities and expressive abilities of our learners. We also provide Japanese language education specifically for portfolio presentations, including planning, mindset, and follow-up for portfolio creation, all conducted by our art instruction specialist."
